Dear Members of The Cooper School Community:
On this first day of classes, I want to welcome you to the start of the 2019-20 academic year. So many possibilities and opportunities lie ahead of us! It is going to be a busy and exciting year for us all at The Cooper School, and we are so looking forward to spending this year with your children. I look forward to partnering with you this year to shape our students’ futures – futures with limitless potential.  This year we will continue with renewed resolve our dedication to joyful and engaging learning. We will think critically, creatively, and collaboratively. We will act with purpose, intentionality, flexibility, and resilience. We will explore kindness and empathy. We will think deeply about social justice and advocacy. There has never been a more exciting time to be a TCS student or parent!

This morning I had the privilege of running our first Whole School Morning Meeting. I watched returning students welcome new friends with excitement, grace, and ease. I eagerly listened as our new students shared what they were most looking forward to this year. I delighted in seeing teachers’ faces light up as they both reunited with former students and tenderly ushered new faces into the fold.  I do not doubt that our 13th year will be one of our best.
