Welcome Back, Fourth Grade!

Lunch Buddies

To welcome the students back to class, we have incorporated lunch buddies into our daily routine so Fourth Grade can get to know each other better while spreading community and friendship. Over the next 3 weeks, they will have a different buddy to play and eat lunch with. As a conversation starter, we introduced riddles such as, what is yours but other people use it more than you do? Ask your 4th grader for the answer!

This week, our busy authors chose a second subtopic to write about for their project over the American Revolution, this time mainly focusing on specific people and events that wrapped up the war. Working together to create a full timeline, we can’t wait to see their hard work come to fruition at our presentation on February 3rd (2pm)!

Fourth graders entered the reflexes and senses part of their Human Body unit. They experimented with both by dropping cups on the desk and trying to move their hands before it hit them. After they mastered that part, we changed the way they saw the cup by adding a piece of paper in front of it, blocking their vision. They then practiced the experiment with their feet. Their main focus was to see which reflexes moved faster and which moved slower. Check our Instagram page for pictures and videos!
