Wrapping Up!

Pass It On

Fourth Grade poets did an astounding job at Pass It On this year, and we loved seeing everyone dressed up! Fourth Graders have used this week as an opportunity to practice reading their poem aloud in front of an audience. Fourth Graders practiced reciting their poems independently, with partners, and in small and whole groups. Through these rehearsals, Fourth Graders were able to practice how to project their voice to an audience, changing their tone to match their poem, and taking pauses between line breaks and stanzas. Thank you all for joining us in this celebration!

4th Grade is wrapping up their last Math unit covering symmetry and perimeter of abnormal shapes. They’ve taken all they learned from past units about multi-step problems and applied them to this unit as well. After this, they will review the past year in preparation for their ERB test.

In Social Studies, 4th Grade historians are learning all about Cherokee culture and lifestyles. They have been reading about all 7 clans and will soon find out which one they’ll study in depth. They are also learning about the ways they made their clothing, food, and homes!
