Day in the Life

A day in the life of a Middle Schooler at our innovative institution is a dynamic and enriching experience marked by intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and personal development.

Dynamic Academics and Personal Development

Beginning in Grade 5, students navigate their rotating schedules, changing classes for Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts. These essential academic classes are led by dedicated experts in their respective fields, ensuring the highest quality of education and fostering a comprehensive understanding of diverse subjects.

Advisory: Advocacy and Social-Emotional Learning

Upon entering Middle School, students are assigned advisors who serve as advocates and liaisons between school and home. Our unique approach to Advisory groups, composed of students from all three grades, fosters a sense of community and collaboration. Advisory meets daily for announcements, discussions, and celebrations, while weekly gatherings bring the entire Middle School together to share experiences and build connections across different grade levels.

Outdoor Breaks and Peer Connections

Three times daily, students enjoy outdoor breaks, relaxing during the school day, and fostering relationships with peers in different grades. These breaks provide opportunities for students to unwind, socialize, and cultivate friendships, enhancing the sense of community within our Middle School environment.

Student Leadership and Electives

Our Middle School encourages student leadership through the formation of student-led clubs and the opportunity for students to choose electives aligned with their interests and passions. Clubs and electives meet weekly, providing additional opportunities for exploration, personal growth, and a well-rounded educational experience alongside a core academic curriculum.

Holistic Education Through Creative Experiences

Students explore drama, music, visual art, world language, and computer science throughout the week. These creative experiences develop physical, aesthetic, and critical thinking skills, enabling students to engage with the world empathetically and discerningly. This holistic educational approach prepares students to be socially aware, academically proficient, and well-rounded individuals, ready to face the challenges and opportunities of the future.
