Beyond TCS
At The Cooper School, our commitment goes beyond preparing students for high school; we aim to set them on a path to success in life. We support each family as they find the perfect fit for their student throughout the high school selection process.
From their earliest days at The Cooper School, students are encouraged to engage in introspection and self-assessment, cultivating a deep understanding of themselves as learners by the time they reach 8th grade. This self-awareness empowers our graduates to thrive in various high school environments, whether they choose independent schools, magnet programs, or local public schools.
Starting in 7th grade, families participate in informational sessions to explore high school options and gain insights into the application process. As students transition from 7th to 8th grade, our Middle School Division Head meets with them and their families individually to understand their preferences, aspirations, and concerns regarding high school. Throughout the year, our Middle School team provides personalized guidance, mentorship, and support to help students confidently navigate the application process.
