Social Studies Research
Third Graders were so excited to do online research this week on our Community Change Makers webpage. Students used their Chromebooks to scroll through our online database of biographical web pages. Our class was elated to find all kinds of new information about their selected activist, right at their fingertips!
Math Fun
This week our mathematicians were introduced to the multiplication table. Students began marking rectangles on blank multiplication tables to find their areas. Scholars were able to see that the area of each rectangle is the product of the numbers at the right and bottom of the rectangle. We are so excited to dig deeper into our multiplication table.
Fire Safety
Third Graders were thrilled to have visitors from the fire station this week. Charleston Fire Department stopped by to go over important techniques in fire safety. Students were excited to review evacuation planning, ways to prevent fires, and how to react in dangerous situations. Third Graders were elated to get to see and try on the firefighting gear that keeps firefighters safe.
