Fall Break is Here!

Kindergarten Counting
This week, Kindergarteners have been showing off all of their counting skills! Students have been using fingers, five-frames, and more tools to show off all that they know. Kindergarteners were ready for a challenge with a new math center this week, Math Libs. In this game, students use one of our game sheets to complete a portrait. Each sheet contains a picture and a list of items to be added to the picture. Students roll dice to see how many of each item to add to their illustration!

Show & Tell Books
This week brave writers spent time creating Show & Tell pattern books about important things or places that they know well. These young writers know that when they want to show and tell about important things that are too big or too tricky to bring to school, they can capture those things with pictures and words in their writing. Students wrote pattern books to show and tell about trips they have taken, their homes, the grocery store, the skate park, and even Grandma’s house!

Yoga
Students were overjoyed this week to attend one of their favorite specials, Yoga with Ms. Stacy. We value this part of our week as students find time to center themselves in a busy school day. Students returned to class excited to tell us all about their favorite yoga poses and how much they love spending mornings calming their spirits in Yoga.
