This Week In Third Grade !!!!!

Math Fun

This week our mathematicians continued using measurement to find area. Students used rulers to measure rectangles and then were able to calculate the rectangles in square centimeters. Third graders also used masking tape to measure out the rectangles of their assignment area on the carpet throughout the classroom. Scholars are really enjoying this unit so far and can’t wait to see what is next!!

Social Studies

This week, Third Graders continued working on their Community Change Makers projects. Students expanded on their work by searching for inspirational quotes which support their activists’ missions, as well as creating timelines of major events in their lives. Students love being able to use both books and supervised chromebooks research to include in their findings.

Cluster Lunches

On Wednesday, we had our second Cooper Clusters lunch of the year. These mixed-grade groups connect students from each grade K-8th to play fun games and make new friends! Students were ecstatic to have the opportunity to play another group game and have lunch with their cluster buddies and reconnect again. We were so thankful for the pizza provided by Marcos Pizza which was organized by Ms.Kayla!
