Adventures in First Grade!

Cypress Gardens

First grade had a blast at Cypress Gardens this week! We spent the morning exploring all Cypress Gardens had to offer. We observed butterflies and insects in the butterfly house, explored all the animals and fossils in the Swamparium, and had a relaxing and beautiful boat ride through the swamps! Ask your first grader what their favorite part of Cypress Garden was.

Grateful Turkey

Students kicked off the week by thinking about things in their life they are grateful for. First graders took their time to think about everything that means a lot to them and then choose their top things they are grateful for. Students completed our grateful turkey by each writing what they are grateful for on a feather. We are enjoying watching our turkey grow more and more feathers everyday!

Gratitude Writing

Throughout the year first graders have been working hard on growing their writing skills. Writing is one of our favorite units! Students have been working on writing and illustrating all of the things they appreciate the most. Students are working on publishing this writing into their Gratitude Books. We can’t wait to share them with you!
