Math!
Math is a class favorite! We love working together to grow our math skills. This week we focused on sorting and classifying shapes based on different attributes while also counting and telling how many. Students were given colorful shapes and showed how many different categories they could form.
Class Promise
Our First Graders have been working hard on creating a set of rules and promises to hold each other accountable during our school year. Our creative minds took time to think about what is important to us as learners and friends. Together we wrote the official First Grade Class Promise, signed it, and hung it up in our classroom.
Growing Our Writing!
Our students have been working hard on stretching their small moment stories with lots of exciting details! This week we worked on revising our writing by adding more, checking for punctuation, and making sure we write down all the sounds we hear in words. We love celebrating their brave writing!
