First Grade: Kim Vennewald

Kim moved to Charleston from New York City almost 2 years ago. She earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Hunter College In New York City and worked as an elementary school teacher for 12 years, teaching across all subject areas for grades 2- 5. After teaching for several years, she became the Academic Curriculum Coordinator for a school, where she was given the opportunity to supervise the curriculum for grades K-8. Kim enjoys relaxing on the beach, reading, spending time with her husband and her dog, Harley, and enjoying all of the wonderful things Charleston has to offer. She is so excited to be teaching First Grade at The Cooper School!
