Home Stretch!

For the final reading unit of the year, 4th grade has a special treat with the book Holes by Louis Sachar. With this highly anticipated novel, students will focus on reading comprehension, as it is one of the most difficult elementary books for deeper reading and analysis. Our readers are revisiting reading strategies such as questioning, visualizing, and inferencing.

Our sweet writers have been busy composing letters to future fourth graders. Each letter reviews a unit we presented this year, whether that be reading, writing, science, or social studies. The letters contain what they loved, what they struggled with, and any advice they have for upcoming students. We can’t wait to share these letters with the future fourth graders.

Field Trip

The moment 4th graders have all been waiting for finally came on Tuesday. Thanks to our friends at Flipper Finders, we got to enjoy a 2-hour boat ride on the Folly River and then have a picnic lunch at the beautiful park nearby. Our adventurers loved this outdoor experience and it surely got them excited for all the fun they’re going to have this summer!
