Ready, Aim, Present

Project Presentation

4th graders had their American Revolution project presentation today. They staged a debate against the Loyalists and the Patriots, trying to decide whether or not they should go to war with Great Britain. Posted around the room were their three essays, poster boards, and children’s books. Our little colonists have studied hard since well before Winter Break trying to perfect their knowledge for the presentation. We are so proud of all they’ve accomplished!

Compliment Books

4th graders have started writing compliment books to their classmates for Valentine’s Day. They are tasked with writing detailed and genuine notes to each student and we will put them together in a beautiful booklet for them to take home. We’re looking forward to seeing not only how their writing has developed this year, but also how their friendships have blossomed!

Math

4th grade was introduced to multi-step word problems and measurement conversions this week. They had a sneak peak of division last week and now they’re mixing that with multiplication, adding, and subtracting to completely solve a problem. Then, they learned that 1 meter is equal to 100 centimeters and went around measuring things in the classroom!
