Spring Forward

Poetry

4th grade poets are hard at work creating their best and most meaningful poems to showcase for Pass It On. They learned new poetic concepts of consonance, assonance, and sibilance to help structure their poems. We are so excited to see their final products come to fruition!

Read Aloud

To coincide with our poetry unit, our new read aloud is Crossover by Kwame Alexander. The book follows a young basketball player while he navigates high school, and is written in prose. So far, 4th graders are loving the story and are enjoying speculating about what will happen next!

Science

This week, 4th Grade scientists started their new unit on Earth’s features! This unit will teach them about rock formations, erosion, and much more! They started off by being hired as geologists and will soon study a fictional canyon in Desert Rocks National Park to determine what’s been changing in the land and why.
