Winter Wonder!

Fourth grade has been especially busy in choir, learning multiple songs and a scene from the Charlie Brown Christmas Special! Our singers have been so excited to practice their singing and perfect these songs for their upcoming choir concert on December 14th. We are so proud of them and can’t wait to watch their hard work come to fruition!

So far this year, fourth grade has learned the proper usage for nouns, articles, and pronouns. We recently introduced the Who/Which Clause, a section of a sentence that describes the noun right before it. Students enjoyed helping Miss Chayce create some clauses as a class before getting to work applying their knowledge in their grammar workbooks.

In math, we continued to learn about decimals to the tenths and hundredths places. We recently learned about ordering them from least to greatest, and vice versa, using a number line and deductive reasoning. They got to watch a clip from the Olympic 400-Meter Dash, which helped them understand the shortest time is equal to the greatest speed!
