Guest Experts in Second Grade!

Guest Expert: Veterinarian!

This week local veterinarian, Brock Sauls (Dasha’s dad), came into second grade to talk about being a vet! Students learned all about being a veterinarian and the duties of their job! Dr. Sauls showed us all of the exciting things that happen during the day of being a vet. Second graders saw many pictures of puppies, cats, and bunnies! Students were the most excited to learn about all the cool animals that Dr. Sauls takes care of! Students are getting very excited to begin applying for their jobs for Copper Village, and many students would love to be veterinarians.

Guest Expert: Doctor!

Dr. David Bundy from MUSC visited our class this week to talk about being a doctor! Dr. Bundy is a pediatrician that works at MUSC. Students were eager to learn about all the jobs in a hospital and how important a hospital is for our community. Second graders were shocked to learn how many people work in a hospital to keep people healthy. As well as how many jobs are in hospitals to care for all the patients. Many students are definitely thinking about being a doctor for Cooper Village!

Rob Fowler answered all our questions on how you know what the weather is like outside! We even got to try his weather tools!
